Dr. Greene is devoted to a ministry of nurturing, teaching, and inspiring Christian disciples. She loves to lead “deep” Bible studies and spiritual growth sessions. She is a social justice advocate, encouraging and inspiring disciples to serve those in need through both missions and social action. She has been engaged in local efforts to combat human trafficking, with a focus on training and encouraging churches and people of faith to become involved in the anti-trafficking movement.
Dr. Greene most recently served Wisconsin Avenue Baptist Church in Washington, DC as part-time Pastor of Congregational Life. She served as the Interim Pastor of Twinbrook Baptist Church in Rockville, MD, as Pastor of Irving Park Baptist Church in Chicago and as Executive Minister at Shiloh Baptist Church in Washington, DC. She received a Doctor of Ministry degree from Howard University School of Divinity (2004), a Master of Divinity degree from Wesley Theological Seminary (1997), and a law degree from Northwestern University (1979).
Her latest book, The Revolutionary Power of the Lord's Prayer, is an 8-week study for individuals and groups, published by Judson Press in July of 2017. She is also the author of a novel, Angels All Around, and a blog, “Moving Mountains: The Hope of Faith in Action,” at aliceburnettegreene.com.
Dr. Greene is married to Rev. William Greene, an elder in the United Methodist Church. She has two sons, Reggie and Bakori Davis. She is the proud grandmother of Kayin, Devin and Cole Davis, sons of Bakori and Adrienne.
